The 8-Bit fuzz is a high gain gated fuzz. It has a synth feel to give a broken Nintendo sound. You basically lose all dynamics. The note feels like a keyboard, immediate attack and the note just disappears suddenly. Random octave dives at certain settings as well as a fat, raspy fuzz in the lower octaves. True bypass and volume knob. Powered by 9V battery or DC jack. As of August 2010 all 8-Bits have been upgraded to V2 specs; This includes more gain and a bigger sound thanks to the upgraded transistors.
The Deluxe 8-Bit has controls for gain and stability. The stability control effects how the fuzz reacts to your playing and whether the notes decay naturally or "glitch out." The additional knobs use red "setting saver" knobs.
