There's a devoted following to this pedal, all users wanting controllable feedback without the hassles of loud distorted amps. Boss had a good idea but didn't follow through with it. Most users of the pedal complain the distortion is awful and complain that they can't control the amount of gain on the feedback. Well a solution is here. My mod completely removes the distortion circuit from the signal path. So when the pedal is on, the guitar signal is 100% unaffected. This leaves you free to use whatever distortion you'd like, be it a pedal or an amp. Now all 4 knobs affect only the sound of the feedback, which allows for total control and a wide range from clean to distorted overtones. The feedback is still activated as always- hold the pedal down and it quickly fades in.
