Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man Tap Tempo

This page is dedicated to our Tap Tempo conversions for the Deluxe Memory Man. Other pedals may be compatible with our tap tempo conversion circuit however due to the amount of planning involved in this modification we will not be offering this mod for other analog delay pedals. We do not offer a tap tempo conversion on the Stereo Memory Man due to it’s short delay time.

The Tap Tempo conversion circuit will install a footswitch which will set the pedal’s delay time to match the tempo inputted by the user. This is an easy way to get your delay repeats to sync up with your music. This circuit replaces the clock chip that all analog delay pedals have. Please note that the stock modulation circuit will no longer function once the stock clock chip is replaced. The signal path– and more importantly the analog delay chips– will not be changed in any way. Your pedal will sound the same but with added functionality. At the bare minimum your pedal will have a tap tempo switch and an LED which blinks to indicate the rate of the delay.

The modification also supports the following add-ons at an additional price:
Modulation Knobs: Rate and Depth controls
Ratio Switch: quarter note or dotted eighth note

If your Deluxe Memory Man is an older model with an attached AC power cord then it must be converted to utilize a modern power supply with a 24V DC jack before installing tap tempo. Pricing can be found on our Electro Harmonix Memory Man page.
