Boss GE-7 Graphic Equalizer

The Boss GE-7 is a great equalizer allowing guitarists to dial in exactly the sound they want. It's a versatile tool for fighting feedback, using as a solo boost, creating filtered tones, and for scooping/boosting mids to emulate the sound you like. The GE-7 suffers from lack of quality components as do most mass-produced pedals; The following mods address this issue.

Our Noise Reduction modification includes replacing the noisy components such as op-amps and tantalum capacitors. This mod is a great bang-for-your-buck option giving you a very noticeable improvement for the price.

Our Overhaul modifications are a list of upgrades using better quality components and more appropriate values to improve the tone. For the GE-7 this includes the noise reduction mod as well as replacing all capacitors in the the signal path with upgraded quality ones as well as changing the output op-amp to one with lower distortion. In total that would be fourteen capacitors and four to five op-amps (depending on when it was manufactured). If absolute highest fidelity and lowest noise is your goal then this modification is for you.
