The rehousing of a pedal is usually for one of three reasons: size, structure, or work-space.
Size: Electro Harmonix pedals are excellent, but many of them can be transplanted into a much smaller casing for the tighter pedalboards out there.
Structure: Rehousing for durability is a bit more expensive and complicated since this involves: new jacks, switches, pots, casing, etc.
Work-space: Musicians often need more room for switches and new knobs being added, so the pedal may benefit from being transplanted into a larger casing.
For everyone interested in having their EHX Big Muff installed in a smaller casing, well this is roughly 2.5" x 4.5". Label is included in all rehousings, same as shown. Just send in your Big Muff and get this one back. Some versions of the BM do not not allow room for a battery inside the casing after rehousing. If this concerns you please contact us before ordering. $50.
Prices are on a case by case basis, and custom work is always welcomed but will add to the price. A basic rehousing may vary from $30-$70 in most cases, and extras will need to be discussed as far as prices go. If the original casing is needed back please request that when asking for a price estimate. The largest EH pedals such as the Poly Chorus, Memory Man, Microsynth, etc. can NOT be rehoused.
