This is a great pedal that really gets used alot by many professional players, but the pedal is a digital delay so the repeats are often sterile and don't blend into the music. If you want an ambient sound then the high cut is the mod for you. Each delay slowly loses more treble as it fades out in a very anaglog delay sort of way. The sound clips are the same settings, just the low cut switch was flipped.
The DD-5 also has an excellent reverse delay effect that is nearly useless since the dry guitar signal is passed through as well. The Kill Switch mod allows you to kill the dry signal completely when the pedal is on so only the delayed signal can be heard. The pedal functions as normal when the pedal is bypassed. The Kill Switch can be deactivated which restores the pedal back to stock form.
