The Clarity mod gives the pedal a crunchy sound and is very warm. It opens up the tone and gives more definition. Also allows finger tapping to come through while still keeping its fuzzy sound. Clarity is improved, the woofiness that comes with the Big Muff is not as prominent, and palm muting is much tighter.
The Big Muff has very scooped mids so it is hard to cut through with it. The Body Knob allows for scooping and boosting of midrange and the knob is mounted on the outside of the pedal for versatile control. The stock tone knob still switches from bass to treble and the added knob shifts the middle frequencies.
The blend knob works great for bass and guitar. Keep the fuzzy sound and blend in the sparkling tone from a clean sound. Works great to keep the tight rumble of bass guitar.
The new Bass Muff mod is now available. The most common complaint from bass players is the lack of tone control. It's either too bassy or too trebly, no inbetween ground. The Bass Muff mod adjusts the EQ to the bass guitar's lower frequency as well as opens up the compressed nature of the pedal.
