The Deluxe Electric Mistress is a classic flanger which works great with a variety of instruments but most artists notice that it just isn’t friendly for gigging due to the lack of some modern amenities. To improve the pedal we offer the following modifications:
Our Enhance Modification tweaks the pedal for a bit more volume by boosting the bass and treble. This will absolutely change the sound of the pedal. You can listen to the clip below to hear if this is for you. This mod has a toggle switch to allow you to go back to the stock sound if needed but we don’t think you’ll want to!
Another option to help this pedal with its weak output level is to have a small Volume Boost circuit installed inside of the pedal. This will amplify the signal slightly and leave the tone 100% unchanged. This modification includes a master volume knob to help you dial in just the right level.
We also offer an Effect Level Knob as an add-on. The Deluxe Electric Mistress has an internal trimpot to adjust the wet signal of the effect. This modification converts that trimpot to be a standard knob so it can now be adjusted without taking the pedal apart. This is different than the above master volume knob.
Our Standard Overhaul Mod will convert the pedal to true bypass, install a status LED, install an enhance toggle switch, and swap out the input op-amp for a higher fidelity chip if the pedal is a reissue.
Our Rehousing Overhaul Mod includes the Standard Overhaul Mod and goes one step further by putting the pedal into a smaller enclosure. If you’re looking to bring down the size of your Deluxe Electric Mistress we can put it in a 4.5″ x 5.5″ casing. *The Matrix switch is included in the rehousing although not pictured above. Vintage units with an attached 120V power cord will need to be converted to use a standard 24V DC EHX power supply.
