The most common complaint for the Freeze Sound Retainer would be how the momentary switch has a firm click. On a normal pedal that can be desirable, but for a momentary switch most musicians want the switch to be easy to depress. The Footswitch Upgrade replaces the stock switch with a soft switch that is easier to depress and does not click when activated.
The Freeze below has an External Footswitch Jack which allows you to use any normally-open momentary footswitch (such as most tap tempo footswitches) to trigger your Freeze. Momentary footswitch not included.
