More info about true bypass and the difference between each pedal’s switching system.
We offer a variety of methods for achieving true bypass which vary by pedal. Some pedals have a good enough bypass that converting to true bypass is not necessary, but the main culprits for tone sucking are vintage pedals or any pedal that uses a mechanical stomp switch and is not true bypass. This includes most vintage effects, many MXR pedals, and older wah pedals to name a few examples.
True bypass on pedals with electronic bypass (Boss pedals for example) is possible by either installing a physical stompswitch or by utilizing a relay switching system that leaves the pedal cosmetically unchanged although this is not a modification that we offer.
